The services provided are all of the services normally provided by inside counsel, excluding litigation and administrative hearings.  We also work closely with and coordinate with outside counsel on litigation, patent issues, and other matters requiring particular expertise.

We work on the basis of a relationships with our clients, although we are treated as an independent contractor.  We are able to keep our overhead low and our fees modest compared to fees normally charged by a firm lawyer with similar experience.  Because we are available off the clock, we can provide experienced “pick up the phone” advice, which can avoid legal problems later.

The role of part-time general counsel can be structured in many ways, and can evolve with the company's needs. The basic concept is providing a company with a way to enjoy the advantages of having a senior attorney available to meet its ongoing business needs without having to pay a full-time salary or law firm rates.
